I spent some time working in print production... Which taught me that I don't want to spend my life in print production. But it taught me even more about how to design with practicality. What kind of design will be cost effective? Why would a t-shirt design need to be in spot color? Why is a bleed so much more expensive? What is the difference between 100#CC and 80#C1S?
Would I call myself a "designer"? I'm probably not confident enough for that title. But my knack for Illustrator and relationship with my trackpad has kept me busy.
Not many people get the opportunity to be able to control the branding and design of an international brand. In my sophomore year of college, I was elected the Vice President of Marketing for the Alpha Phi sorority at UNK. Since my alumni charge, I have served the chapter as the Marketing Advisor. Website, social media, print design (including posters, philanthropy event tickets, +), and apparel design has all been under my watchful eye since 2011.
YORK COSMETICS & YORK SURGICAL ASSOCIATES
Two businesses out of York, NE that I have gotten to work with since their inception. I have gotten to create both of their websites, and work with creating advertisements across a variety of platforms, from web to radio to newspaper to magazine.
The Big Blue Cupboard is a food pantry on UNK's campus. This 3-panel brochure is part of a total re-branding project for the organization.
